  LWhat should I know about you?

I have been a student and practitioner of financial planning since 2011. In that time, I’ve written and presented hundreds of financial plans to clients covering a wide range of wealth and circumstance.  

These plans include guidance for those just dipping their toes in financial planning for the first time to late-career hedge fund executives and venture capitalists worth over $25 million.  

What I love about planning is the opportunity to help individuals and families explore what really matters to them in life while helping them align their capital (human and financial) in support of that vision.  

What are you passionate about?

Over the years, I’ve focused my extracurricular efforts around two major topics: meaningful and efficient financial planning process and the task of raising the next generation of advisors. In 2021, I had the opportunity to share a presentation at FPA’s NorCal conference on the process of training and transferring trust to new advisors.  

I currently serve as Treasurer for the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) Genesis program. I previously served as Treasurer for the Financial Planning Association of Jacksonville. Whenever I get the chance, I like to write or share what I’ve learned from my professional experiences with other advisors. 

Are you qualified?

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Economic Management (Financial Planning Option) from Virginia Tech. Since graduation in 2014, I have had wonderful mentors at two registered investment advisories.  

In early 2018, I reached the education and experience requirements to attain the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation. In June of 2022, I decided to open this firm.  

What does life look like outside of the office?

I live in downtown Jacksonville, Florida with my wife, Elizabeth, our newborn daughter, Ellis, and our enthusiastic German Shorthaired Pointer, Harlan. 

I am an avid lover of classic rock music, American History, investment/economics podcasts and baseball. 

As a family, we love to travel, spend time with our families and friends, and check out new restaurants/venues.
